Idly Sambar

Idly Sambar started from a simple struggle, trying to find affordable homemade south Indian food in Auckland. We have tasted a few southern Indian restaurants that we thought, idly sambar could be a standout and pointof difference.

It has been a passion of ours to bring southern Indian tastes but nothing we had tasted gave us that feeling like we were home.

After many tastings of what it could be like we decided to start our first venture in Kingsland which is centrally located and close to city centre.

it is also a growing community willing to adventure on new tastes.We are 100% vegetarian and provide vegan options with many varieties to choose from, our spices are made in-house with only fresh produce.

Our mission is to provide fresh quality and top service whilst bringing a bit of our home to our community.
