Logan Brown was established in 1996 by Al Brown and Steve Logan with a vision to take the standard of fine dining in New Zealand to a new level. With Head chef/partner Shaun Clouston and an impeccable team of hosts, they offer you the best in food, a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere, and dining integrity.
The emphasis is placed on attaining the best seasonal ingredients possible from local producers. Organic, fair trade and responsibility gathered ingredients are always favoured.
Accuracy in cooking and seasoning is given priority over presentation. Each dish is generous full flavoured and simply plated. The style of food is New World, yet based on classic cooking techniques.

4.0 Cuisine 14 October 2018continue readingBeautiful bold colours of apple-cured ?ra King salmon with rhubarb kimchi and salmon caviar. Local K?piti crab with crispy-skinned line-caught gurnard. Flavour-popping fennel parfait with torched marshmallow. For over 20 years Logan Brown has been a bastion of Wellington’s fine-dining scene, so co-owner-head chef Sean Clouston (pictured above right with chef Alex France) is clearly pleasing the punters. On the one hand Logan Brown proudly bears the hallmarks of a fine dining restaurant; the white tablecloths, the well-dressed staff, and thoughtfully plated food. But on the other hand there isn’t an air of stuffiness or over-formality. They stock a huge array of New Zealand’s best beers, they champion local spirits and their wine list allows you to try some of the world’s best wine without forking out for a $500 bottle. Truly a restaurant that stands the test of time.

2018 Cuisine Top 100 received @ 9 September 2018 This restaurant is in the Cuisine Good Food Awards Top 100 for 2018 and will be featured in the Cuisine Good Food Guide 2018. The Top 100 restaurants are also the finalists for the Cuisine Good Food Awards 2018, and the Winners will be announced on the 15th of October.
