4.5 David Burton for Stuff 23 November 2017continue readingStrategically positioned dead centre of the dining room at La Bella Italia is a grand vintage table, laid with a glass-covered Italian lace tablecloth.
This is the VIP No Menu table, where owner Antonio Cacace plays tribute to the "no menu" cooking style of his late father Luigi, a chef-hotelier back in Massa Lubrense, the Island Bay Italian's ancestral fishing village south of the Bay of Naples.
Because he believed in cooking only what he could buy fresh each day, Luigi didn't see the need for a menu.
